ALL ABOUT THE YORKSHIRE DALES CENTRE (YDC)
The Yorkshire Dales Centre was established in October 1975 at the Yorkshire Centres, West & North Groups AGM at the Winter Gardens Ilkley. The Yorkshire Dales Centre was fully formed from 1st January 1976 with a chairman Mr Roy Knowles. In January 1976, the first YDC brochure was produced in the style of a "chequebook". The first Rally was on 13-15 February 1976 and had a valentine’s theme; it was held at Old Bilton with a rally fee of £1.30p. On the 26-28th March 1976, the centre held its christening & dedication rally at Pool Bank (Chevin Park).
Please note that all correspondence for the attention of the committee must be sent to the Secretary in writing by post or via the Secretary's email address; this is because the Secretary is unable to monitor all of the social media feeds (e.g. Facebook, Twitter) for committee business.

Volunteer Roles
The Yorkshire Dales Centre is a volunteer organisation, and as such, we rely on our members to organise and host all our events.
In times gone, the committee had plenty of members (up to 15), and they shouldered most of the responsibility for organising the events schedule and pulling together the rally calendar. Each committee member had a specific role and had to attend every committee meeting throughout the year.
